By the beginning of July, the third in the Forrest Spencer series, entitled, Cage Without Bars will be released in print, audio, Kindle and ebook formats. Though I have enjoyed writing the first two novels in this series, I am most excited about the third, soon to appear. Those these books qualify as legal fiction, none are thrillers in the conventional sense. Rather, they are what I believe to be compelling real-life stories that bring together people whose daily lives we see in depth. Although not explicit, each of the novels raises a social theme, capital punishment in Beyond the Shadow of a Doubt, child abuse and children's rights in Stolen Child, and the effects of long-term psychological abuse in marriage in Cage Without Bars. Sound dull? Happily for me, most of my readers haven't thought so. Look for a synopsis for my upcoming novel in Browse Books.
